Welcome Back Luncheon at the Duportail House

297 Adams Dr., Chesterbrook, PA 19087

11:00 am Tour of Jones Log Barn by Pattye Benson, President of Tredyffrin Preservation Trust

11:30 am Luncheon

This year’s luncheon will be at the historic Duportail House. It is a hidden gem in a residential neighborhood! The house dates from 1740 and became the headquarters of the Continental Army’s Chief Engineer, General Louis Lebegue Duportail, during the Encampment of 1777-78. It will be the perfect space for our group with inside formal seating and a tented space for socializing if it’s a nice day. There is plenty of parking adjacent to the house which is just a few steps from the Jones Log Barn.

Join us to reconnect with members, find out what is planned for the upcoming year and hear from Patty Benson about the current plans for the Jones Log Barn and what it took to bring the project to fruition. CBGC donated to this project before it became a reality.

RSVP: Please respond on this site whether or not you are coming.

What to bring? We are asking all attendees to contribute either a table ready side dish, salad, dessert or beverage such as a bottle of wine, seltzer or cider. Please contact Sue Heist directly at heist9@comcast.net to find out what to bring. Volunteers for set-up & clean-up are also needed.

Location: The Duportail House is located off Adams Drive at the intersection of Chesterbrook Blvd.   Please park and drop off your dish with one of our Greeters prior to attending the tour of the Jones Log Barn.
