COVID-19 Update

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Covered Bridge Garden Club has adjusted our schedule to include more outdoor events when possible. We will have bottles of hand sanitizer available and suggest that attendees wash their hands frequently. We will also have plenty of room for safe social distancing. Please remember to wear your mask!

Welcome Back Luncheon at Wilson Farm Park, Chesterbrook

11:30 am

Reconnect with club members in an outdoor setting! Find out what is tentatively planned for the upcoming year and hear a short presentation by a representative from the Valley Forge Park Alliance.

Catered Box Lunches by Dixie Picnic will be provided.

Please wear a mask and remember to socially distance. There are plenty of picnic tables that are under cover and rest rooms next door.

New this year- a “Mum Exchange”! Bring a colorful mum for indoors or out to exchange with fellow members (max. $10 value).

Also, please bring a cleaning product such as disinfectant spray, disinfectant wipes, dishwashing soap, liquid hand soap or laundry detergent to donate to the Great Valley Food Cupboard, 945 N. Valley Forge Rd., Devon, PA. We will gather and deliver for you.

Location: You should have received a detailed map of the park with directions to the picnic pavilion in your emailed invitation.  Please refer to it.

Pumpkin Planters!

Wilson Farm Park Pavilion

12:30 am  Eat beforehand or BYO your own snack.

Plant a pumpkin with assorted live house plants to enhance your seasonal decor. A variety of fall embellishments will be available for additional decoration. Make it your own!  Led by Kathy Guinan & Bridget Lininger.

Please bring clippers, your CBGC apron and wear a mask! For those who do not wish to make their arrangement at the picnic pavilion, we will offer flower “kits” and will email you a video so that you can assemble the centerpiece yourself at home.

Pick up  your “kit” at the picnic pavilion on Nov. 23rd at 12:30 pm.

Please wear a mask with a smile behind it!! There will be LOTS of room for social distancing OUTSIDE under an awning. In case of inclement weather, we will be seated in the ballroom.

Bird Walk with Mary Ellen Heisey at Valley Forge National Historical Park-20 person limit

10:00 am  Rain or Shine

Join us for a 1 1/2 Hr. bird walk with bird expert, Mary Ellen Heisey. Be ready to listen and watch for many different birds that live in the park.

Bring binoculars and 3 legged folding sport/walking seat if you have them.

Picnic lunch in the park following the walk.

Location: a detailed map showing meeting spot will be emailed to all planning to attend.
